15 Feb 2017
Dr. Temple Grandin, a person that we at Illumination Foundation of NC (IFNC) hold in the highest regard, will be inducted into the National Women’s Hall of Fame (NWHF) on the weekend of September 15-17, in Seneca Falls, New York.
An icon for her innovations in the design of livestock handling facilities and a Professor of Animal Science at Colorado State University, Grandin will be honored alongside fellow inductees Matilda Raffa Cuomo, Lorraine Hansberry, Victoria Jackson, Sherry Lansing, Clare Boothe Luce, Aimee Mullins, Carol A. Mutter, Dr. Janet D. Rowley and Alice Waters.
Dr. Grandin, who is also prolific author, lecturer and consultant has accomplished all of this despite being diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) at age two. She is an inspiration to all who overcome obstacles to accomplish great things.
